Maria + Tom – Cranbury Park, Norwalk, CT Wedding Photos
May 22nd, 2010“What’s the most dramatic thing that has ever happened at a wedding you have shot?” was the question that Tom asked Erik while they were driving together on the way from The Inn at Norwalk toward Cranbury Park for Maria & Tom’s wedding. “Nothing too crazy or noteworthy” Erik replied. Little did they both know that the day had more in store for everyone than just a beautiful celebration shared with very special friends and family. Maria and Tom make us laugh and cry when we are around them. I think we were in a constant flux from laughter to tears throughout the entire day of their wedding, and it was such a wonderful feeling 
You can’t help but be enamored by these two, and the energy that each of them bring wherever they go is exponential when they are together. Oh, and they also just happen to look incredible when you photograph them, and make us love photography even more while doing it. For those that don’t know, Tom and Maria had the top third of a giant cedar tree snap off in the high winds at Cranbury Park during their ceremony and fall on half of the guests there. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. And even more amazing was that these two were able to still be so balanced between the joy of the celebration and the care that they showed for not only those hurt by the event, but for their friends and family there for them.

Vicki and Erik…spectacular work (as usual)…but not at all surprised, you guys are the best! Love them all…but especially taken by the black and white of Maria and I kissing with the veil in front of both of us. Stand by while I work on some witty remarks about the “knife” sock.
Many people have commented favorably on the green lit tables…the shot of the rings on it capture it perfectly!

GORGEOUS shots of a beautiful couple – both inside and out. Some very artistic stuff – just like the Engagement shots in NYC.
From the shots of Tom – not knowing weather he’s ready for GQ or Field & Stream, to the shot of the girls (Maria, Courtney & Amy) making sure each other looks perfect. From the ethereal & dreamy shot of the new couple kissing behind the veil, to shots of Maria showing her joy through a smile that could light up a room and is now lighting up Tom’s life. From the cutest nieces & nephews, to the jubilation on Tom’s face post-ceremony. From the pictures of the proud parents to the very artistic study of the rings.
The perfection of all of these shots is only outdone by the love we all have for this couple, their families & the honor we feel for having them share this very special day with all of us.

Love the black and white photo after the first kiss as husband and wife. Incredible emotion and happiness. You two are a fantastic couple. Love the socks but there is only “one” worthy of wearing socks like that.

What great pictures. It’s just necessary to wait until Fuji doesn’t make film anymore, I need to get a digital SLR. Although with such a photogenic couple, I think even my film camera would have taken great shots. I especially love the shot of Tom looking at Maria walk down and the shot were Maria is walking down the isle with her parents behind here. You were meant to be together.

Dear Maria & Tom:
As VP and co-founder of Friends of Cranbury Park, I was touched by your beautiful photos even before I read the photographer’s note. Needless to say, I am so thankful that no one was seriously hurt, and so glad you were able to go on with what looks to be one of the greatest weddings ever.
With all the places around here to exchange vows, I’m delighted you chose Cranbury as the backdrop to your special day. The park is special to me, too, and to the 450-plus members of FCP, a nonprofit volunteer organization devoted to keeping the park safe, beautiful, clean and well-maintained.
