Susi + Carl – New York, NY Engagement Session Photos
Friday, May 8th, 2009Erik and I met up with Susi and Carl this past weekend in their home city of New York. We had originally planned on meeting in Central Park, and it was raining slightly, so we decided to start at Grand Central until the rain subsided. It really is an amazing building with beautiful architecture and the hustle and bustle not found anywhere else in the United States.
It is hard to hold still while dipping, but they did it!
We like the lights in the station. Susi and Carl like to kiss ; )
And they are experts at dipping!
And they are simply cute together.
We went inside the Campbell Apartment and found this cool window. Being inside was like being transported to another time!
We headed outside and it was barely raining, so we decided to just go where the city took us. One of the more exciting aspects of our jobs is just moving forward and letting our surroundings inspire us
Um, yeah. They are really into each other.
; ) I love this one!
Erik pointed out the reflection in this window. We jump at the chance to capture moments like these.
As we headed up the street and paused for this shot, Susi and Carl let us know that this was the station they take every day to work. How serendipitous
Carl took us to this awesome building!! I didn’t think we would get in, but Carl gave them the “secret password” and the off limits location was ours!
The colors on these light panels kept changing. We were having a blast!
My favorite image of the day. Those are the elevators by the way.
Erik’s view.
Back outside – Susi has a great smile and beautiful eyes!
We stopped by some scaffolding for some fun shots.
Off to Bryant park!
Erik’s view.
There was no one in the park. Where’s Waldo?
I love the raindrops on the chairs.
Love this one too ; )
Susi and Carl thanks for being so amazing to work with! We had so much fun with you both and are looking forward to your wedding in less than one month!!
Jessica + Sean – Waterview, Monroe, CT Wedding
Wednesday, May 6th, 2009We have been looking forward to Jessie + Sean’s wedding since we first met them. You may remember them from their engagement session back in January. Jessie’s joy and laughter emanate from her stronger than anyone I have ever met. She was full of smiles and laughter for her entire wedding day. Sean is warm and genuine, and an honest to goodness gentleman. Together they are a force to be reckoned with. What God has joined together let no man put asunder.

This is how the guys get ready. Erik captured this killer shot! Sean is wielding one of his brothers pellet guns. He was feeling a bit James Bond in his tux.
Last minute tie straightening.
Jessie’s gown!
Putting on makeup.
Shoes.
Jessie is amazingly beautiful!
I love this shot with Jessie’s mom.
I told you – non stop smiles!
Arriving at the chapel.
Some details.
Walking down the aisle with her Grandfather.
Erik’s view – the chapel form above. You can see me standing on the left with my veil.
More of those smiles – about to be married!
Jessie’s mom and stepfather.
I love this moment! This is my favorite part of the ceremony. Pretty sure I was crying here.
We were waiting to get back into the chapel for some portraits with the Bishop…isn’t that light amazing?
Married and blissful!
Erik captured this moment in the limo. This is not posed folks. They are THAT into each other!
Off to the reception – some details.
The newlyweds.
Love it!
; )
We went back into the bridal suite for a few images on the couch.
The bouquet.
First dance.
Erik captured this amazing shot during the first dance. They finished with a perfect dip!
Sean’s heirloom ring – all of the men in his family are given one when they turn 21. It has the family’s crest on it.
Cutting the cake!
The bouquet toss.
Jessie and Sean thank you SO much for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day. I can’t tell you how special it was for us! Thank you to your families and friends for being so welcoming and treating us like part of the family. We wish you both all the joy in the world (although i suspect you have that already ; )
xoxo,
Vicki + Erik
