When everything about the wedding day is said and done, the luggage is put away from the honeymoon, the thank you cards are in the mail, and the hum from everyday life begins to noisily drown out the buzz and excitement from all that preceded it, you might think that all would be left were the memories and the photographs. But not necessarily so! Sometimes all you need is an excuse to put the wedding gown back on, to wear the shoes you got from the honeymoon in Paris, and to get back in front of the camera for more pictures. Such is the case with Melissa & Brian, and their Wear It Again! session with us. When we heard that they wanted to hang out with us we jumped at the chance – we love the courtyards and magnificent architecture in New Haven in and around the Yale campus, and coupled with some of the shot ideas they had for us we knew we were going to have a blast. How great is it to have a bride sloshing around in a fountain in big rubber boots?

Vicki and I have known Jessie & Sean for quite some time, having shot their engagement session (which you may have also seen in our sample leather guest book if you have met with us recently), and their wonderful wedding. The one person we hadn’t met yet is their adorable new addition to their family, Matthew! And what a cutie he is . Vicki and I had such a great time catching up with Jessie & Sean and their family, and taking pictures of Matthew rolling around naked (what’s better than a naked baby?). We loved that Sean had brought his fire fighter’s helmet and jacket to use as props (Sean is a firefighter with the Westport fire department), and Matthew loved chilling out on his Dad’s work clothes. We also couldn’t get enough of Jessie’s grandparents, and Jessie’s grandmother didn’t want to let Matthew go for any photos – we all love baby Matthew it seems!

Jessie & Sean, there wasn’t any doubt that the two of you would have such an adorable, happy baby, and we feel so privileged that we got to be the ones to take your photos!

Vicki and I were recently contacted by the publicist to Big Indie Pictures, Jill Gray Savarese, asking if we would photograph a couple of movie screenings for the movie ‘The Best and the Brightest” which stars Neil Patrick Harris, and is laugh out loud hilarious, by the way. We had the opportunity to not only watch the movie at the Shubert Theater in New Haven, and the Sunshine Cinema in NYC, but to take photos of some Q&A with the audience and the producer, director, and some of the actors. It was a true pleasure meeting not only Amy Sedaris, Jenna Stern, and Nina Lisandrello from the movie, but also Declan Baldwin (co-producer), Michael Jaeger, one of the writer’s of the film, and Josh Shelov, the movie’s director and co-writer. We highly recommend checking the movie out, at a screening near you!
