Kate + Erick – Wadsworth Mansion, Middletown, CT Wedding Photos
Thursday, September 24th, 2009You may remember Kate + Erick from an engagement session for Robin DIni that Julia and I tagged along on. It was a “getting to know you” of sorts. Some of you may know that Robin recently had a beautiful baby boy, Harrison. Many months back, Robin found out that not only was she pregnant, but she was due nearly to the day of Kate and Erick’s wedding! She asked me if I could shoot the wedding for her (and Kate and Erick agreed)…Oh Robin it was such an incredible wedding and we all wish you could have been there!!
Ceremony & Reception Venue: Wadsworth Mansion, Middletown, CT
Kate’s gown and shoes were incredible!!
And Kate looked so fabulous.
Isn’t she gorgeous??
First Look
We took a few portraits on the balcony.
They made a very cute Thank You sign!
Kate’s flowers were off the hook!! I think we had a long conversation about fiddlehead ferns, and eating them
Some ceremony details.
It had been misting on and off for the last hour before the ceremony. Kate and Erick decided (about 5 minutes before the ceremony) to chance it…and their luck paid off. Not a drop during their outdoor ceremony!
Erick was so happy to see his bride!
Love this wide shot of the ceremony, with the mansion behind.
Loved the bridesmaids dresses and flowers,
Lighting the unity candle.
There were some tears shed.
Now that’s a kiss!!!
A few more portraits before the reception.
These next three are my favorites. I really couldn’t narrow them down.
Reception details – I loved the polaroids all over the reception!
First dance. They were some of the best dancers I have ever seen. In fact, everyone there seemed to be an amazing dancer! Julia and I were in awe
Father and Daughter.
Kate’s mom looking on.
Mother and Son.
Kate and Erick, thank you so much for being such incredible people, and for allowing me to be a part of your special day. I had such an incredible time with you, and your families and friends. Wishing you many long years of joy to come!
xoxo,
Vicki
