When Trish + Isaac first met each other in elementary school, it apparently wasn’t starry eyes and butterflies in the stomach….at first. It was later in college that they reconnected and fell madly in love, and happily ever after! Isaac is a really cool guy, and fellow photographer (which is another gold star in our book!), and Trish has the kind of smile and laugh that will win anyone over, and she happens to be totally gorgeous as well . We had the opportunity to hang out with them near their home in Tarrytown, NY. We loved exploring Tarrytown – following them around as we experienced some of their favorite spots together. We had a blast, and it once again proved that when our couples tell us that they “are not photogenic”, we know better. What do you think?

As Erik and I drove up from Stratford to Kent Falls, and wound up the back roads through Brookfield and the surrounding towns, we were absolutely enamored by the scenery along the way. So much in fact that we figured that if everything leading up to Kent Falls was so beautiful, that the actual falls must be incredible. And it certainly doesn’t disappoint, for those who haven’t been. Erik remarked that the walk up to the top reminded him more of the Sierra Nevada’s in California, then it did North Western Connecticut. So what was the reason we were up in Kent on such a gorgeous summer afternoon? Why to photograph Michelle and Tyler’s engagement session of course! We had heard all about the spot where Tyler proposed to Michelle (at the very tip top of the falls where the images start), and that he was not only a little nervous proposing, but that there wasn’t a lot of sure footing, and there happened to be kids all around. Once they had the spot all to themselves, and weren’t going to fall off, Tyler asked Michelle and she of course said yes! And we definitely saw why Tyler chose the spot he did – the location is absolute magic, and when you add some beautiful light, and these two (who happen to look great together, and are so totally in love), the results speak for themselves . Tyler & Michelle, thank you for not only introducing us to one of our new favorite spots in Connecticut, but also for being yourselves around us and showing us a great time in the process. We can’t wait for your wedding, and look forward to seeing the two of you very soon!
