Vicki and I haven’t been down to Silver Sands beach in Milford since we used to live there a few years ago, and we had heard about the great boardwalk and bridges they had put in. We were excited to take a trip back to the beach to not only see what had been done there, but to take pictures of the super sweet and totally gorgeous couple – Tracey and Mike. We loved how they brought a willingness to be open and natural in front of our cameras – even with people constantly recognizing and saying hello to Mike throughout the shoot (he is a school teacher nearby). Tracey and Mike are a perfect fit for each other, and we can’t wait to see them again on their wedding day!

Tracey and Mike, thank you guys for totally rocking it out for us, and being so great to photograph. We are looking forward to hanging out with you guys soon!

NYC was at max capacity when Vicki and I arrived at Central Park, and it was filled with celebration from the Puerto Rican Day Parade – the sort of thing that gets your heart pumping, and the senses tingling. It put our already great mood into overdrive, as we were anticipating our afternoon with Emily & Kathir, knowing we would have an amazing time with them in the park, and at one of our other favorite spots in the city, the Brooklyn Bridge. The two of them certainly didn’t disappoint, as what little camera shyness they might have had melted away immediately, and all that was left was the essence of their love for each other, and how warm and caring and funny they were with us. We totally loved their choice of outfits, and the wardrobe change for the bridge screamed sexy and stylish, a perfect ending to our jaunt around the city. We have even more coming of these two that we can’t wait to share (their Hindu ceremony, and their upcoming marriage in CT), so stay tuned for more of Emily & Kathir!

When I was a kid, my sister and I would look forward to spending time with my Baba (Yugoslavian for grandmother) and grandpa “Brownie” (his nickname for most of his adult life), and especially going out to eat with them at a diner in Oakland California named Biff’s. It was always exciting reading over the menu and being able to order anything we wanted (and for me it was usually breakfast for dinner, a choice I still haven’t grown out of), and hearing my grandmother say the same thing about my grandfather every time he ordered a hamburger – “he likes his burgers still mooing!” & “every time he takes his first bite all the stuff falls out the back!”. These are some of my fondest memories of my childhood, and there is always something comforting about pulling into any number of the many diners in New England and having nostalgia tug at the old heart strings. It is very much the same for Vicki, and as it turns out, also the same for Ryan, as we got to talking about the fond memories we develop as we travel through life’s important moments.

We had the opportunity to drive up to Hartford to meet up with Stephanie and Ryan at the campus where they met (the University of Hartford), and get a guided tour down memory lane while stopping for photographs and talking about our shared experiences. Stephanie and Ryan were quick to point out all of the spots that had shared meaning for them, and noticed that while some things had changed since they went to school there, it was still great to be back. And we know that being there definitely had a positive effect as the two of them look absolutely radiant together, and it carried on throughout the whole shoot.
