One of the greatest things about living in Connecticut is that part of the state sits at the water’s edge, hugging the ocean with too-many-to-count beautiful beaches that are filled with the memories of family outings, night time bonfires, and some of the most important moments in a couples lives together. We already knew how important beaches are to Nicha & Jeff (they live in Lordship not too far from their sweet and adorable engagement session), so it was no surprise that they chose to get married and have their reception at Water’s Edge in Westbrook, CT. We absolutely adored all of the themed details of the day (we especially loved their wedding cake, one of the most fun and creative we have ever seen!), and Nicha looked drop dead gorgeous in her Maggie Sottero wedding gown. It is easily apparent from the photos how much Nicha & Jeff love each other, and they were just amazing to photograph – Nicha was even willing to do a little off road hiking sans shoes to get down to the beach, quite a ways away from the reception, and we think the results were totally worth it!

The Inn at Mystic, perched high up on the hill, and overlooking the water is an exceptionally beautiful place filled with charm and old world splendor. It also is surrounded by our favorite setting for photographs – gardens, groves of trees, and a little pond filed with water lilies. There really isn’t anything better than having mother nature do all of the work for you, and having a terrific couple like Trish & Isaac hanging out amongst all of the gorgeousness. Everything about them and their wedding just fit. Trish’s Jim Hjelm gown from Kleinfeld in NYC was the essence of couture (with a beautiful bow that her grandmother helped tie, the same as she did for Trish when she was a little girl), and we absolutely loved Isaac’s bow tie. Not many guys can rock the bow tie, and Isaac did it exceptionally well. It was all marvelously classy and elegant, and Vicki and I left feeling very happy. A perfect day spent with great people – we love our jobs!
