Vicki and I are super excited to share the final chapter of our time with Emily & Kathir among the three events we photographed, and frankly we are a little bummed that it is all over! Not only did we have the best time with them in Central Park & on the Brooklyn Bridge in NYC at their sweet engagement session, we also had the pleasure of being with them for their Hindu Ceremony in June. We already knew how much fun it was to hang out with them, and just how great they look in photos, so it is no surprise that the awesomeness continued to roll in with them at the Candlewood Inn for their “Western” wedding. The celebration continued with another Baraat (and Kathir looked absolutely radiant astride the white stallion he rode in on), with Emily looking absolutely gorgeous waiting in the wings for their wedding ceremony. We really don’t have to do too much with Emily & Kathir, as they always look amazing together, and totally in love, so the rest of the day and their reception was one great shot after the next. And their first dance was one of the coolest, most put together first dances we have ever seen, and we think they are totally ready for Dancing with the Stars . On with the photographs!

One of our favorite places to photograph weddings in Connecticut happens to be at the Guilford Yacht Club, and we were delighted to find out when we met with Rebecca and Eddie that they were having their wedding there! They have such a wonderful, caring dynamic together which makes perfect sense as he is a doctor and she a nurse (right out of Grey’s Anatomy and totally adorable!), and we had some amazing opportunities to photograph them just as the sun was going down. Not only were they a blast to be with, but they had one of our favorite bridal parties ever. They pretty much had us cracking up from the time we got there to the last dances at the end of the night. We loved the hanging lanterns above the dance floor, and the blacks, whites and reds from the favors at the table to the beautiful flowers by A Floral Affair all tied together perfectly. We have a feeling that they are going to stay a totally hot and in love couple for quite a long time!

There was a big event on the east coast a little while back, something that a California boy like myself had never experienced (and still didn’t get to witness the true brunt of beside a downed tree in our backyard thank goodness), and had no idea what to expect. While Hurricane Irene never made as much of a mess as everyone was predicting, Vicki and I had a grand time distracting ourselves from the weather reports with the beautiful wedding of Jeannine and Wayne. They weren’t going to let mother nature get in the way of everything they had planned for their big day, and we couldn’t have been happier to spend the day photographing them! We even managed to go all the way through without any power outages, and had the opportunity for some quick portraits under umbrellas in between rain bursts. Jeannine looked to die for in her Paloma Blanca gown, and her Badgley Mischka shoes (like seriously hot), and Wayne accompanied her perfectly and looked dashing in his grey suit and blue & grey striped tie. While we may not have been able to see at times on a highway drive home that felt like taking the log flume ride at Disneyland while simultaneously going through a car wash, we wouldn’t haven chosen to spend the day any other way than cozily inside the Guilford Yacht Club with Jeanine & Wayne and all of their friends and family, watching one of the happiest days of their lives unfold. A total treat!
