Florida

March 22nd, 2008

I’ve been back for a few days now and have been struggling to post images from the trip. That would be because I barely used my camera the entire time we were there! That hardly ever happens. In fact the husband and I are, normally, not really good are relaxing. On our last big trip – our honeymoon – we went to New Zealand and Tahiti, and came back more exhausted then when we left. Most people in Tahiti spent time on the beach – there isn’t that much to do…it is a place for relaxing. We went on a boat tour, swam with sharks and sting rays, and went snorkeling. Erik learned how to open a coconut with a sharp stick and a rock. My point is that we are normally very adventurous and have a hard time laying around doing nothing. Normally. It is JUST what we needed though. We stayed at the PGA National Resort & Spa in West Palm Beach and, well, they made it easy for us not to leave the resort. We don’t play golf, but we spent a couple of days at the spa….massages and luxurious exotic salt pools. We ordered room service and watched Oscar-winning movies on On Demand, and ordered chamomile tea for me, and coffee for Erik every night. It was one of the few real vacations that I ever remember taking. Here are some of the pics that I took.

Our view from our room at night – the spa pools.

I took a walk around the property one day…

Room service messed up our breakfast order one morning and later left us a fruit basket

This is how I know the husband was relaxed! I rarely see him reading.
