Katie + Jeff – Goodwin Hotel, Hartford, CT Wedding Photos
September 4th, 2008One of my favorite things about being a second shooter is getting a look at the “other side” of things. I see things differently in this role sometimes and I think it brings me balance in being a wedding photographer. I am always fascinated with hanging out with the guys while they get ready – it amazes me, everytime, how calm and collected the guys generally are, and really how much differently their getting ready process is. This past Saturday I was the second photographer for my friend Rob at RJT Pictures at the lovely wedding of Katie & Jeff. The day started out, as I mentioned, observing the guys getting ready. This began with a hearty breakfast, some beers, and some Chuck Norris jokes. Pretty darn funny! Eventually the guys did get dressed and were ready with plenty of time to spare!
Here is Jeff getting his boutonniere (I always have to check the spelling on that word!)
The rings:
Off to the church – Saint Francis of Assisi in Naugatuck (’Author’ of my favorite prayer of all time):
Walking down the aisle with Dad. I love balconies ; )
The bridesmaids were gorgeous and I loved the combination of the blue dresses with the vibrant yellow flowers!
Getting married!
It was an emotional ceremony:
Husband & Wife:
The flower girls were so beautiful:
I was digging the graphic nature of the backs of the bridesmaids dresses
While Rob was shooting some family portraits at the church I was hanging out with Kathleen and shooting some candids – like this of one of the bride’s beautiful sisters:
and this shot:
Then it was off to Elizabeth Park in Hartford for some bride & groom shots:
Some details at the reception – The Goodwin Hotel in Harford, CT.
Cake feeding!
It was an awesome day ; ) Be sure to check out Rob’s blog for more!!

As usual, it was a great time working with you on this wedding. I love shot of the rings, the light in the background is just incredible. The one of Katie walking into the church is beautiful too – feels like a magazine ad. The shots in Elizabeth Park are fabulous too – and the detail shots, gotta love those chairs. I love the look on Katie’s face in the cake feeding shot – priceless.

I really love the images on this post. So crisp and clean!
