Katerina + Dan – New York, NY Engagement Session Photos
April 25th, 2012New York City is a giant playground for photographers – pretty much everywhere we look, we find something new and noteworthy to be used as inspiration for our photo shoots. We also find totally new ways to see places we have been before – a hidden garden or side street we hadn’t explored yet pays off handsomely when we go off the beaten path. We spent the afternoon with Katerina & Dan not only on the cobblestone streets near their home, but also on the High Line and the neighborhood around it.
We had the best time reacquainting ourselves with some of our favorite locations, and exploring new ones to add to our list. Vicki and I were really excited to catch up with these two again – we fell in love with them the first time we met them at our studio, and we couldn’t wait to take their pictures. As you will see, not only are they super hot, they are also totally hot for each other and the combination yielded some spectacular results.
As a side note, one of the things we have come to expect about NYC is the unexpected. While we can usually count on some sort of heckling or gawking during a shoot, one thing we didn’t anticipate was one person offering up the garden in his private courtyard for us to take pictures in. Sadly, we were already at the end of our day, but it just goes to show that you can’t believe everything you hear about New Yorkers . We can’t wait for Katerina & Dan’s wedding in September (at the romantic Winvian resort) because we know first hand just how much fun it is to be around them!
Katerina & Dan, thanks for being so amazing to work with, and we will see you both soon!
xoxo,
Vicki + Erik
