Karrie & Scott met one evening walking their dogs on the Hammonasset beach boardwalk in Madison, CT. While they shared a few words and smiles, and left a lasting impression on each other, it wasn’t until more chance encounters that one of them actually did something about it. Scott, like myself (which is another story for another time) needed to be hit upside the head with a giant clue, and so Karrie presented him with her telephone number and told him to call her. And the rest, as they say, is history! Their wedding day had a lot to love about it, not unlike Karrie and Scott themselves. Not only did they both look great, they had one of the only real spring days this year with perfect weather. Karrie looked gorgeous with hair and makeup done by one of our faves, Dana Bartone, and her Modern Trousseau wedding gown looked stunning on her. We adored Scott’s purple striped tie and boutonniere that matched with just a perfect little pop of purple. And CUPCAKES!! Who doesn’t love cupcakes? Especially after all of the amazingly delicious food by Jordan Caterers, which included passed sliders and vanilla milkshakes….yum!

One of the coolest things about our jobs is that we get so many referrals from happy couples whose weddings and portraits we have shot. The best part is not only do our new couples have peace of mind that they are going to have an amazing experience with us, but also that we already have a connection before the first click of the shutter . Lindsay & Keith are no different, and were sent to us by our friends Kristin & Chris (who we love and adore!). We couldn’t have been happier the first time we met with them as they are not only a gorgeous couple, but also really great people to be around – sweet , funny and down to earth.

We spent the afternoon with them at Binney Park and Tod’s point in Greenwich, and the results are pretty beautiful! They were even ready and willing when we asked them to lie down in a giant bed of white sea shells for some of the shots – how great is that?
