Joanne and Joe have one of our most favorite proposal stories, ever! Joe is a lighting guru, and decided that the best way to get his point across was to use his trade to his advantage. So he set up the scene (to his success, obviously!) and had family watch guard over the generator and lights while he and Joanne just happened upon the display at the end of their stroll along the river walk in Shelton. Now they are getting married! Erik and I were excited to head back to one of our favorite spots to make pictures, and to capture these two looking gorgeous

And we always love it when our couples are willing to go the extra mile, like doing a piggy back on some questionable footing!

When Erik and I first met Yohana and Pat we totally fell in love. As they told us the story of how they met and and started dating I got goosebumps and a bit misty as it reminded me of my favorite love story in Love Actually. Yohana had recently moved to this country and was learning to speak English. When she and Pat met and started dating their verbal communication was limited, but they just knew…and they truly are a perfect fit. They have the qualities I most admire in people – they are full of life and laughter, and therefore a blast to be around, and they have a good sense of humor (with a healthy dose of sarcasm)! Erik and I had so much fun spending the afternoon with them at Southford Falls in Oxford.

We met up with Alison and Tim last weekend at Alison’s parents beach house in Old Lyme, CT. It was a beautiful day! Alison and Tim spend every weekend at the beach with her family, and this was where Tim proposed too. We were super excited to spend the afternoon with them! We learned that Tim is an author, and I can’t wait to read one of his books!

We started off on these rocks on the beach. We were loving the crashing of the waves against the rocks.

Like I said, it was a beautiful day!

I LOVE this one. The rocks had such a cool erosion pattern on them.

This is Erik’s favorite – we think Alison looks SO beautiful in this one.

The light was pretty awesome!!

Alison thought it might we fun to walk to this carousel down the street. She used to go there as a little girl and told us how excited she was to try to get the gold ring.

After getting a bit dizzy from riding backwards on the carousel we headed back to the beach. Cute!!!
