Melissa + Travis = lots of laughs! They had Erik & I smiling all afternoon – even through the rain. Yeah, these two fit like peas and carrots for sure.

Vicki and I met up with Julia and Tom at the Kellogg Environmental Center in Derby, CT. They were an absolute blast to photograph, and Vicki and I truly felt like ourselves around them and laughed like crazy. Tom is hilarious and Julia’s laugh is incredibly infectious We knew we were going to be in for some fun and we weren’t disappointed!

We kept seeing rabbits running all around us, and between Vicki telling me to get the shot and Tom asking Julia to “hurry over” so they could be photographed by one, it was no surprise that by the time anyone got near them they had vanished. I did manage to get close enough to one when all the hubub had died down

It was another rainy afternoon (seriously, is this the rainiest June in history or what?) and Vicki and I were heading down to NYC for an engagement session with Kristina and Aaron, one of our adorable couples. It was so rainy that we had to drive around a fallen tree on the Merritt Parkway (a first for us!). Aaron is an airline pilot so I had the opportunity to pick his brain about what it is like to fly a plane and all the cool locations he has been to while Vicki and Kristina were having “girl talk”. Kristina and Aaron met at the wedding of mutual friends, and Aaron wasn’t willing to let her out of his sight. The rest is history

We met them at Guantanamera, a Cuban restaurant where they had their first date. Aaron set everything up from another city and flew in to met Kristina (we told you he was crazy about her!). This is Vicki’s view of them sharing a laugh.

And this is my view from inside the restaurant.

We moved back further into the restaurant and captured them getting romantic underneath the restaurants’ cool murals.

And then we were off to the Waldorf Astoria, one of NYC’s most famous hotels. It finally stopped raining, so we were fortunate to take a couple of quick shots right outside the hotel and have a little fun

A great moment – one of the many things Vicki and I love about NYC is that it’s inhabitants don’t even give it a moments notice when we were photographing Kristina and Aaron.

We love how Kristina is looking at the camera here, and can see why Aaron was so smitten by her. Seriously – she has such an amazingly beautiful intensity about her!

So we peeked outside and to our delight it was still dry outside! So we did what we do best, and just started walking down the street for some cool spots for pictures and found this really cool church to work with (and Kristina said her Mom would be happy that they were in front of a church as well )

We think the pillars and intricate doors made a great frame for them here.

And we love the light in this one.

Just a little further down the street, we stopped to get these next two shots. It was a little windy and it made for a fun moment!

Kristina is looking pretty interested in Aaron here don’t you think? Just look at the way she is pulling him in (by the tie no less!)

And then we were off to Central Park for some more photos! It was pretty amazing at the time of day we were there as we had it almost totally to ourselves.
