Laura + Chris – Siwanoy Country Club, Bronxville, NY Wedding
May 21st, 2009You will remember Laura and Chris as the couple who allowed us to take those fantastic castle / park / beach shots not so long ago. Erik and I were looking forward to working with them again, as they are both so sweet and genuine that it was hard not to have them in front of the camera all the time. Well, we got our wish when the big day arrived, and we drove down to South Salem, NY to get the day started! As you will see, these two are made for one another, and the emotions of the day, carried through them and their friends and families seem to leap out of the pictures and grab our attention. Another magical day with two people we feel we can call friends
Chapel: Chapel of the Divine Compassion, White Plains, NY
Venue: Siwanoy Country Club, Bronxville, NY
DJ: Lenny, Harborside Productions
Florist: Bobby Krause, Mrs. Morgan’s Flower Shop, Bronxville, NY
Cake: Liz, Cornerstone Caterers
Laura’s dress was stunning!
And her shoes matched perfectly and were fabulous to “boot” ;p
Laura looking beautiful while getting tied in to her dress.
Laura’s mother putting on the finishing touches.
We love this portrait – a quiet moment before the ceremony. Isn’t she beautiful?
One of our favorites! Laura and her bridesmaids hurrying to the limo.
Carefully heading down the stairs.
Almost there!
Some last minute dress “fluffing” before the big entrance.
Laura and her father walking down the aisle.
Some of the first moments of the ceremony. The chapel was gorgeous inside, with the dark wood ceiling arches complementing the stained glass.
They both look so peaceful
A funny moment. We love the look on the Father’s face behind them!
The kiss!
Another angle – notice the looks on the bridesmaids faces, too much fun!
Mr and Mrs!!
A view from the balcony of the newlyweds walking back through the jubilant crowd.
Their first private moment as husband and wife – such a great capture, one that makes us so happy to be wedding photographers!
Erik and I love this one. It wasn’t easy getting it with the receiving line continually moving!
Just some of the many amazing details from their wedding. The flowers, cake and rings were not to be missed!
Erik and I have definitely had luck on our side. It was supposed to rain that day as you can see in the clouds behind Laura and Chris. But nothing could discourage us from capturing this gorgeous couple.
Such a fun angle that not only includes Laura’s bouquet, but their love as well!
Simply classic.
Laura’s eyes are so striking!
We were able to whisk them away from the watching crowd to capture some intimate moments. We are truly blessed that they felt so comfortable around us.
Such a great perspective – we climbed up on top of the stone wall to get this shot.
One of our absolute favorites of the day. They look like they are straight out of the movies.
After heading back inside for the introductions, it was time for their first dance.
And the tossing of the bouquet. All those ladies sure do look ready to be the one to capture it!
One of our favorite parts of the night is getting the ring shot. We never know what will inspire us from one wedding to the next, and we are really happy with the way this turned out
This one goes without saying. Wait, it doesn’t? Chris and his brother goofing around during the dancing
An impromptu arch during the conga line made for fun moments like this one
The energy that their friends and family brought to the dance floor was electric. All that static from cutting the rug we guess!
These shots brought Erik and I back to our breakdancing days. We thought it was a dying art form, yet impossibly, this young man was not only doing “the robot’ earlier, but can be seen here spinning around the dance floor on his back!
A close to the night, with raucous celebration.
Laura & Chris, we had such a blast being a part of your wedding day. We couldn’t imagine a better way to spend a Saturday with such an amazing couple. Hope you are enjoying your honeymoon, and may you have great happiness in all your years to come.
xoxox Vicki and Erik.

I really enjoy all the bridesmaids walking shots – what a cute idea. They really capture the excitement for the moments before the ceremony. I can’t pick a favorite from the golf course shots, they’re all fabulous!

Vicki, Erik, you guys did such a fantastic job. We are thrilled with the pictures we’ve seen so far (we stole a few glances on the blackberry in Italy) and can’t wait to see the others! You both were so wonderful, getting the great candid shots and graciously getting the formal family portraits to work. We really hope we get to work with you again in the future and are both so happy to have met you. – Laura & Chris
