You will remember Susi & Carl from one of our last NYC engagement sessions – the one with the cool back lights and the steamy cab shots! Well, it was a rainy Friday afternoon, but it couldn’t dampen our spirits as Vicki and I set out to capture this amazing couple on their wedding day. Susi and Carl are so much fun to be around, and once again we were blessed to have a couple forget about our cameras and just be themselves. We’ll let the pictures do the talking (with just a little dialog of course!).

At first it was just Carl and I at the hotel, and I asked him jokingly if he had ever had a personal paparazzi following him around. Carl was great at allowing me to take some candid moments.

Once we were all at Tashua Knolls, Vicki and I set up Susi and Carl for a “first look”. Not only did we have to keep them from seeing each other, but also from being seen by curious friends and family looking for a sneak peek! What follows are the first moments they saw each other in their fabulous wedding attire.

We couldn’t have asked for a better reaction!

And the soon to be husband and wife seem pretty pleased as well.

We love the way they are communicating in this one!

Carl had shown me the socks he was planning to wear at the hotel, socks that matched the bridesmaids dresses to a “T”. We made sure we got the shot!

And Susi’s bouquet was not only gorgeous, but matched his socks as well ;p

Susi and Carl, thank you for choosing us to be there on your wedding day. We had an incredible time and couldn’t think of a better way to spend a rainy friday than with two sweet and fun people who care so deeply about one another. It was a glorious Saturday afternoon and Erik and I were headed to Sarah’s childhood home to photograph her, and her soon to be husband Brad And what a wedding it was! Sarah’s parents did an amazing job transforming their home into a splendid wedding venue, replete with beautiful flowers and a whimsical cupcake wedding cake. With beautiful blue skies and the sun shining, Erik and I set out to capture this wonderful couple on their wedding day and had a tremendous amount of fun in the process.

Brad had a wedding present delivered to Sarah by way of a bridesmaid, and we love her reaction. After seeing the earrings he had given her Sarah said “Yeah..I think I’ll marry him” ; )

Sarah’s father had me literally in tears as he sang the song he wrote for Sarah when she was a baby. Such a sweet moment.

Erik and I have been looking forward to spending the day with Kristine and Maciej for a while now. You may remember their engagement session from last December. Maciej is not only charming and sweet, but he is hilarious as well. Kristine is a classic beauty, with an unexpectedly awesome sense of humor (as you will soon see)! We knew that we were in for a special day with two people who utterly adore one another.

Kristine and her girlfriends take a boxing class together – how fun is this shot? Sometimes I say I am taking “test” shots when in reality I am capturing some awesome candids.

We mentioned that Maciej is a funny guy right? Here he can be seen taking a slow-motion headshot to the face (no people were hurt in the making of this wedding moment). What a good “sport” huh?

We decided to take a break on these interesting rocks behind the Inn, and we love the way this shot came out!

Unbeknownst to everyone, Kristine and Maciej had spent many hours carefully practicing a modified version of the final dance from the movie Dirty Dancing. Needless to say, the crowd went berserk after it, and Erik and I were stunned with what we had just witnessed These two were incredible!
